Hi Everyone,
We are so excited that we are less than two weeks away from our May 7th wedding! We just wanted to post some answers to questions we have been getting and to say that if you do have any specific questions that we do not answer in this post, please e-mail us at frieddill@gmail.com!
1. Attire
For the soiree on May 6th, attire can be casual. Whatever you feel comfortable in! For the wedding on May 7th, the attire can be a bit more on the formal casual side. In other words, while suits or dresses are not required, we wouldn't recommend jeans. When it comes to shoes, we suggest overnight guests bring some rainboots or shoes for the wedding that will be okay on grass. Even though the reception will be under a tent, you will be walking on a lot of grass!
2. May 6th Soiree Timing/Food
Many of you are driving in on May 6th, so we want to mention that there will not only be appetizers at the soiree, but there will also be two buffet style dinner entrees available to you. The party will be concluding around 10 PM.
3. Transportation
We will have a 20 person bus picking up guests at The Cornwall Inn at 2 PM on May 7th and it will be leaving Angevine Farm at the conclusion of the wedding reception at 9:30 PM returning to the inn. If you prefer to drive yourself, there will be parking on the farm.
4. May 8th Celebration
We are also coordinating a little Mother's Day breakfast celebration for May 8th, the day most of us will be leaving Connecticut, so that we can share in the love of our moms as well as say goodbye to everyone after the wonderful wedding weekend has come to an end. Details of this get together will be provided to you in your welcome bags when you check into your rooms.
We simply cannot wait to see all of you! Please let us know if you have any questions about anything at all!
Love,
Melissa + Dave

engagement portraits by josh snyder
Last week, Dave and I flew out to Arizona to hang out with my Aunt Francie, Uncle Chris, and Cousin Garrett. The trip was beyond words, getting to see Francie + Chris' 43 acres of beautiful land and the incredible cabin that they had built upon it and getting see Garrett present us with a fire light show. Many a photograph and video are to come. A couple of photos you can see on my photography blog.
Fully in love with Arizona sunshine and landscapes, Dave and I lucked out with having our wedding photographer out there as well. Yes, we are flying him in from AZ, and we can't wait to have him be a part of our big day. During the trip, we had our engagement portrait session with Josh Snyder (our photographer) and here are a few of the photographs from the session: http://www.joshsnyderblog.com/?p=1246
And check out the hilarious video out on my aunt and uncle's property (hope you can handle it!)
Stay tuned for our photographs and more video from Arizona!
DIY envelope liner
Now that our save the dates have all been received, I feel like it is okay to post photos taken a while ago of them. While we loved our save the dates, we were ever so proud of the envelope liner that we made ourselves.
It was super easy -- we just bought 2 different kinds of scrapbook paper that we liked, made a traceable piece on cardstock (making the liner about 1 inch smaller than the envelope so that it just scoops right inside) and used the tracing pattern to cut all of the scrapbook paper. Then we just glued. And we had such fun doing it! Dave and I are all about the little projects.

Abstract Annex Activity
Before launching into more relevant posts and photographs I wanted to share a few images that I took while melissa and I were hanging out in our work station.
They may seem random, although these were created using a small lens taken out of a vintage 16mm film projector we picked up at a garage sale while visiting montauk as a location for our wedding.
